Refunds & Cancellation

Effective: August 26, 2026 Last updated: August 26, 2026

SAVX subscriptions are sold through the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store. We never take your payment details ourselves — the store bills you, holds the subscription, and is the only party that can cancel it or issue a refund. This page explains what that means in practice and how to reach us if something goes wrong.

1. Your free month

Verifying your phone number unlocks one free month of SAVX Saver. It is granted once per account, it does not require a card, and it does not auto-convert into a paid subscription. When the month ends your account simply returns to the free tier and keeps working — your lists, your saved trips and your savings history all stay. There is nothing to cancel.

2. Cancelling a paid subscription

Cancel any time. You keep the paid features until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you are not billed again.

Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. You must cancel through the store, or billing continues.

3. Refunds

Refunds are issued by the store that took the payment, under that store's policy — not by us. We cannot reverse a charge we never received.

If a store declines a request that you believe is fair — you were charged twice, you were billed after cancelling, or a feature you paid for did not work — email support@getsavx.ca with the date and the order number from your receipt. We will look into it and, where the fault is ours, we will support your case with the store in writing.

4. Where our own responsibility sits

SAVX reports prices read from retailers' published flyers. Those prices can be mis-printed, regional, limited in quantity, or simply changed by the retailer after the flyer went out — which is why every deal in the app shows the flyer page it came from and asks you to verify in store. A price that turns out to be wrong at the till is not something we can refund, because you have not bought anything from us. What we will do is correct the data and tell you what happened, if you email us the item and the store.

5. Price changes

If we change the price of a subscription, the change applies only to future billing periods, and the store notifies you in advance and asks you to accept it before charging the new amount. You can cancel instead.

6. Deleting your account

Deleting your SAVX account removes your data, but it does not cancel an active subscription — cancel that in the store first, using the steps in section 2. See Delete your account for how deletion works.
